A Newry woman has spoken out about her ‘shock and horror’ after she received her Ancestry.com DNA test that shows she has south Armagh heritage.
The 27 year-old woman is said to be receiving mental health treatment after opening the envelope that put her into a deep and worrying daze.
The woman told us:
“It showed that I am 85% European and 5% Asian however there is a 10% hit for me having Crossmaglen & Cullyhanna in my heritage. I simply cannot cope with this horrific result.
I always wondered why I had a penchant for dealer boots and check shirts, I just thought it was a fashionable sensibility but obviously it’s that 10% of muck savage south Armagh running through my veins.”
