A wall will be built around Newry in order to keep Warrenpoint residents out it has been revealed today.
The Newry,Mourne & Down District Council came to the agreement that the wall should be built with immediate effect to keep the large number of Warrenpoint refugees fleeing to Newry.
Council Chairperson Mark Murnin told Newry Spud:
“We took on board Donald Trump’s idea to build a wall to keep Mexicans out of the USA. With the high numbers of Warrenpoint refugees fleeing to Newry we can no longer accept them and the wall will have to be built to keep them out.”
The Council are asking for local bricklayers to send in a price to build the wall from the Warrenpoint Road to the Clanrye River.
