The Oxford Concise Dictionary is to add the word ‘Diddies’ into its new edition we can reveal.

Used predominantly in Newry the term is a slang form for the English word ‘Breasts’ and can be used in a various manner of ways.

This is the second Newry-ism that is being introduced to the dictionary after we reported that the world famous dictionary included Lofty Larkin’s ‘Rubber Head’ back in April.

An Oxford Dictionary spokesman told Newry Spud:

“We love the term ‘diddies’ it just springs in one’s mind and in to one’s imagination immediately of a nice ripe set of baps.”
