High winds across Newry today has caused much devastation around the city and through the outskirts of the district in a day that will go down in lore.

Photographs have surfaced of a child’s playhouse blown out on to the streets and unbelievably a small tree was tumbled on to it’s in the city centre area.

No one is believed to have been injured in the incident, although those reports remain unconfirmed.
One local man Jordan Morgan who asked not to be named told us:

“That is one wild fucking day out there baah. I was walking down Barcroft earlier and the wind blew both my feg out of my mouth and my bottle of vodka flew about 20 yards up the road. Thankfully I recovered the vodka. So a happy ending really.”
