The next generation of south Armagh’s fuel smugglers and makers is alive and well thanks to a thriving home schooling initiative we can report.
With schools closed and parents being encouraged to teach their kids at home the south Armagh community have taken that directive seriously and have started to teach the next generation the skills of fuel mixing.
One red diesel maker told us:
“This Covid yoke is a God send to be honest with you. My two wee lads are now studying 9 hours a day. Now they’re not studying school shite, I have them down in the shed learning the science of removing red dye from industrial diesel. The wee bollixes couldn’t count to ten but they could tell you the compounds of Sanyo Pigment Yellow.”
