In what is seen as an unprecedented move the south Armagh sniper has been called back into action to stop people from going out over the Easter weekend.
According to the Health Minister Robin Swan the sniper and his team will be going around the six counties and have permission to ‘pick off’ anyone not adhering to the social distancing and stay at home instructions.
We spoke with the sniper Eamon Wright from a secluded hay shed in Cullyhanna and he said:
“It’s a great honour for me and my team to be called into action again. While it is a strange request it is one that I will be relishing to be quite honest.
We will be mostly concentrating our efforts in places like Larne, Ballymena, East Belfast and on the way home Shandon Park.”
