Newry’s Rosie O’Grady’s pub on Canal Street has won the prestigious ‘Least Usage Of Electricity’ at an award ceremony last night in Bellinis it has emerged.

The pub that is rarely seen open was a much deserving winner said Power NI Chief Executive Anthony Watt.

“Rosie O’Grady’s deserves this more than any other business in Newry. They are most attentive on how to cheaply save electricity and in most cases don’t actually bother using their own.”

A spokesman for Rosie O’Grady’s said they are delighted with the award and claimed:

“We might actually open this weekend to celebrate this epic achievement.”
