Paint manufacturer Ronseal has launched an orange-coloured paint in honour of tanned Newry girls.

The new paint was launched at a press conference on Friday. Chairman Michael Smyth told Newry Spud:

“We are always looking to reflect the people of the UK & Ireland in our colours and Newry always gets a rough deal. We thought we’d put that right by launching a new colour to honour the girls of the town. They seem to manage to get themselves a perfect glow of orange which hopefully we’ve managed to replicate in our new paint.”

Meagan Lavery an Orange tinged girl from Newry was impressed with the new paint. She told Newry Spud:

“Yeah, I love it. I might even use it instead of going for a spray tan or the sunbeds. It seems pretty durable so it should last a night out in Cobbles or Bellini’s no bother at all and hopefully, the whole weekend.”
