The PSNI has stepped up their security presence in the Bessbrook area after tension between two ‘Break Dancers’ has threatened to spill into violence we can reveal.
After our story last week about ‘The Godfather of Newry Breakdancing’ Micky Boyle (View Here) another ‘revolutionary’ of the scene has lashed out calling Boyle a ‘charlatan’.
Seamy ‘Flipski’ McGuiness has said Boyle was a contemporary of his and was not a ‘leading figure’ in the Bessbrook 80’s hip-hop scene.
A clearly agitated McGuiness told Newry Spud:
“Micky Boyle was ok, nothing special. I was the first Bessbrook man to perform the ‘Flying Windmill’.
I remember Micky Boyle trying to do it and we had to take him to Daisy Hill Hospital after he caught his balls in between his knees, it was a sore, sorry and tragic sight. But hilarious at the same time.”
