The identification of a Parkhead murder victim has ground to a halt after their DNA matched that of all the other people that live in Parkhead.
The body was discovered at the Bernish Viewpoint yesterday morning by a local dogger. Police leading the investigation say that they have reached a dead end.
Newry PSNI spokesman told Newry Spud:
“We’ve reached a point in the investigation where we can’t even identify the body. Sadly their DNA matches that of all the other people in Parkhead and we don’t even have any dental records to go on. We are appealing to the public to help us.”
