The PSNI have reacted angrily after youths damaged 4 Police Land Rovers this evening when they threw several Chicken Chip Kebabs from La Dolce Vita at them in what has been described as a ‘Co-ordinated and Sophisticated’ attack.
It is not yet known who was behind the attack but Police are keeping an open mind about the motive.
Rumours have been rife that it may have been the Derrybeg ISIS lead by ‘Jihadi Paddy’ the Newry native that set up a brigade of the extreme Islamic group in the notorious Newry slum.
But we spoke to the newly appointed PSNI liaison officer for the area Stephen Murney who rubbished any suggestion that Derrybeg ISIS or indeed ‘Any armed grouping’ was behind the attack on Police. He told Newry Spud:
“This is nothing but youths acting out because of the lack of facilities here in the occupied six counties of the north western island of Ireland. I will release a lengthy statement via my Facebook page presently and will also remind everyone about the importance of Leila Khaled and The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.”
