The news that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would like to leave the dole and become financially independent has been met with much fanfare over the last few days particularly in Newry we can report.
It has been speculated that the Royal couple might spend time in Newry with new Newry Sinn Féin MLA Liz Kimmins who previously had a ‘personal’ relationship with Prince Harry.
However the Royal House of Windsor told us:
“Harry and Meghan will take up part-time employment in the famous drapery McEvoy’s on Monaghan Street from next week. As a young couple who are trying to step back from public life they have been allocated a rental council property in Parkhead.”
As McEvoy’s spokesman confirmed the Royal couple will indeed take up employment with the shop as retail assistants.
