The world of rock and roll has been stunned with the late and somewhat surprising announcement that Oasis will play a ‘small intimate’ gig in Ma Kearney’s tonight.

Rumours have been rife as both Noel and Liam Gallagher were both spotted walking around Dorsey today with cameras taking photos beside various Republican monuments.

However Oasis manager Alan McGee told Newry Spud:

“The lads have been meeting up since Christmas but this will be their first gig together in many years. As most people know the Gallaghers are first generation English-Irish and have a deep love of Ireland.

We just want to thank Ma Kearney’s for letting us play here tonight and to all the people of Crossmaglen for their generous and warm welcoming. We heard the warm welcome hasn’t always been this nice for a bunch of English lads.”
