A controversial new statue has been erected in Newtownhamilton over night by the Newry, Mourne & Down District Council causing some residents to call for the immediate removal of the new installation.

The sculpture, which looks eerily similar to a male body part most often associated with the foreheads of 90% of Newtown’s population was put up in tribute to the large community of dickheads said the Council.

One local farmer told Newry Spud:

“Truth be towl I like it boy. It has a distinct International art nouveau look to it. It does capture the essence that is Newtownhamilton whis is a small inbred district full of dickheads. This is quite beautiful actually.”
