A Newry man has been the first person in Ireland to be asked by Facebook to stop posting ‘showing off’ selfies we can reveal.
Gerard Hughes the owner of ‘Cycle Recycle Newry’ is known for his ‘excessive’ selfie taking and Facebook now too seem to have got a bit pissed off with the barrage of ‘look at me’ photos.
A Facebook spokesman told Newry Spud:
“We don’t mind people expressing themselves on our platform, but when you take up most of the bandwidth allocated for the island of Ireland like Mr Hughes does on a daily basis we have to take a stand. We already deleted a selfie he posted while on the toilet. It was quite, quite horrific.”
Meanwhile Gerard told us:
“What can I say, if you have it flaunt it baah.”
