Last night’s massive ‘oil spill’ on the Camlough Road at the Egyptian Arch was revealed to be a lorry that overloaded carrying Council Chairperson Gillian Fitzpatrick’s hair products the PSNI have revealed.
The SDLP Chair of the Council who is in everything but the crib these days has a hair style more suitable for Hollywood than Newry.
The PSNI released a statement on their Facebook page saying:
“Don’t worry folks. Recent spillage on the Camlough Road was only Gillian Fitzpatrick’s hair gels and oil treatments. Thankfully nobody was injured during the spillage.”
Chairperson Fitzpatrick told Newry Spud:
“I apologise for any inconvenience caused. I was waiting for my weekly delivery (20,000 Gallons of gel and hair oil) when the lorry overturned because of the weight of the load. But as the PSNI said no injuries happened and it will be you, the ratepayers who both pay for my elegant hair style and for the clean-up operation so it’s ok.”
