A male motorist from Newry has been hospitalised today after the woman driver in front of him used her indicator at the roundabout on Monaghan Street we can reveal.
The incident is said to have occurred around 9:30am and was witnessed by several shocked and distressed motorists and pedestrians.
One passer-by told Newry Spud:
“I was just walking up Monaghan Street when I saw the lady driver coming down the Camlough Road; she stopped, looked left and right then proceeded to actually use her indicator to let the male driver behind her know her intended direction. Unfortunately after her indicator use the gentleman driver seemed to take some type of medical turn and clutched his chest with shock.”
A Daisy Hill Hospital spokesman confirmed to Newry Spud that a man in his 40’s was admitted to hospital around 9:45am after an indicator incident on Monaghan Street.
