A Newry man has landed a massive role with leading women’s magazine ‘Play Girl’ we can reveal.
Colly Johnston a part-time stripper and football manager said he is ‘overwhelmed’ and ‘joyous’ after getting the call from the American based magazine today.
The Haldane & Fisher employee who travels the country at the weekends removing his clothes for a £60 fee was spotted at a recent hen night in Bellini’s that was attended by Play Girl editor Nicole Caldwell who noted Johnston’s body was not typical of a stripper as he has a full and hairy beer belly but she said he had a ‘boyish charm’ about him that would be ideal for her readers.
Mr Johnston’s long suffering girlfriend Debbie McLoughlin is at a loss to how her man landed the role telling Newry Spud:
“It’s hard to fathom how my wee chubby beardy man got such a big modelling job. Let’s face it, I love him but he wasn’t exactly blessed with good looks. I used to be a bit jealous when he went out stripping but all that hard work is finally paying off now.”
