In an unexpected turn of events a band from the Newry Magnet Centre will represent Ireland after it was thought ex-Westlife singer Nicky Byrne’s entry was fucking useless.

The event held in The Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden will see Newry band ‘The Wobbly Heads’ sing a tribute to Newry with a heavy metal cover of ‘Dirty Old Town’.

Lead singer Jimmy Sadface told Newry Spud:

“We’re delighted to represent Ireland and Newry at the Eurovision, usually we pretend that we hate the Eurovison because it’s such a pastiche and talentless piece of shit music contest but the allure to sing in front of 100 million television viewers is too much to resist. I mean, we are used to singing in front of 3 other weirdos in the Magnet Centre so this is massive for us.”

Tune in to BBC One or RTÉ 1 on Saturday from 7pm to see ‘The Wobbly Heads’ do Newry proud.
