Newry Hip-Hop Star MC Bigroll Injured During Drive-By Punch Attack

World famous Hip-Hop star MC Bigroll was rushed to Daisy Hill Hospital in the early hours of this morning after becoming the latest victim in the ongoing gang violence that’s plagued Newry’s hip-hop scene for years.

At approximately 3:30 am, the Newry Rap Artist was allegedly set upon by 3 boys in the carpark of Dunnes Stores on Monaghan Street, who each punched the rapper once in the head before returning to their car and speeding away.

An hour later, he was rushed to nearby Daisy Hill Hospital, where he was placed in an induced coma after going into shock as emergency staff cut off his Nike Air Max Classics, Adidas shorts and Super Dry T-Shirt.

Born Patrick Mc Donald, MC Bigroll has been especially vocal in the Hip-Hop scene, often turning up wherever Hip-Hop related violence spilled over into the mean Newry streets.

Speaking from MC Bigroll’s bedside one of his ‘hommies’ 16 year-old Cathal ‘Big Shot’ Quinn promised retaliation for the attack on Bigroll chillingly telling us:

“There’s going to be more split lips and black eyes, that’s a promise.”
