A local petrol station, pub and complex owner has said he doesn’t believe in nepotism and thinks it should be stomped out in the business world.
Dan Gregory was speaking about the evils and unfairness of giving your family jobs without merit or at the very least an interview.
Dan told our business editor Maris Piper:
“I hate nepotism in all its forms. It is a very unfair and unjust system. Everyone should be in with a chance of getting employment in the local areas that one serves and lives in.”
Dan was interrupted mid-way through our interview when his son Daniel who runs the family pub needed advice, on our second interview he was interrupted again by his son Andrew who wanted to speak with him about the local shop he co-runs with his brother Simon.”
