A Newry building firm has returned to from the United States after giving President Trump a price for building the wall along the US/Mexico border we can reveal.
AMAC whose biggest job until recently was to build a small wall in a garden in Kilkoo are now on the cusp of securing one of the biggest construction jobs in history.
We spoke with AMAC’s Aidan McCabe who told Newry Spud:
“We got the call from President Trump himself a lock of weeks ago. He saw a few jobs we did on Facebook and was impressed by it. He flew us over to New Mexico and we started the pricing of the job.
I think we gave him a very keen and competitive price so with the help of God we’ll get thon wee number. It will keep the boys out of the Job Centre for a lock of years anyway.”
