A Newry man who loves nothing more than running around roads with a video camera has decided to create a new running challenge he said today at a packed press conference in the phone box in Bessbrook.

Colm ‘Bootsy’ Fearon told Newry Spud about the ‘Twin Peaks Challenge’ that only those who are extremely fit or borderline psychotic would relish to participate in.

Bootsy told Newry Spud:

“I’m raising money for the local Newry Gateway Club and the challenge will be to run both Camlough and Slieve Gullion mountains on Saturday 24th June 2017. People interested in joining us need to start training ASAP.

I am personally being trained by Pat McGinn and Larry McCabe famed of course for their participation in this year’s London Marathon. Pat and Larry have me up at 5:30am every morning eating raw eggs and running around the pond listening to the Rocky 1 film soundtrack.”
