NASA has sent up a special probe into the outer regions of the solar system to try and locate Camlough man Seamus Kane’s free-kick that was launched in February 2014 we can reveal.
The former Newry City defender was launched into infamy after his dreadful free-kick that sent the world of football into howls of laughter.
We spoke with NASA’s head of solar research and he told us:
“This will probably be our hardest search and find yet in outer space to date. We found Chris Waddle’s 1990 World Cup penalty only last year. This free-kick was a million times worse than Waddle’s penalty so we are not too confident in recovering the ball.”
