The somewhat inbred and backward village of Meigh sprung into life this morning after a flock of pigeons passed through on their way to Dublin, we can reveal.
Arriving on Friday morning, the 27 strong group of pigeons stayed around the Killeavy and Meigh area for around half an hour, ensuring the 12th of October 2018 will go down as the village’s busiest evening for 17 years.
We spoke with Meigh demigod Steven McDonnell who told us:
“I never thought I’d see the day that we would have a tourism industry here in Meigh. Fair enough it’s only a flock of flying fucking rats but it’s the first time we’ve had any living species come into the community in at least 17 years.
I’ve never seen the village so busy, it was fantastic. They stumbled around the village shitting on the ground and fighting each other for scraps of food from Johnny Murphy’s bins. They fit in really well with the locals”
