A local Republican group has held a press conference today to lend their support to the banning of Muslim women wearing the Burqa we can reveal.

The group claimed the covering of faces was a ‘violation to the safety and wellbeing of the wider community’ and claimed it should never be appropriate to do so under any circumstances.

In a prepared statement they told Newry Spud:


“We will not tolerate anyone including ourselves covering our faces. Why on earth would there be a need to do something so outrageous? Let it be known that Newry and the greater south Armagh areas are face covering free zones. Tiocfaidh Allah, I mean Ar La.”
