A Camlough man who is taking part in this weekend’s Mullingar Iron Man endurance race has forced race organisers to open up a new category solely for his level we can reveal.

Seamus ‘High Gloss’ McNally a competitive athlete in the local athletic circuit took Mullingar Iron Man organisers to court so they would give him a week to complete the event.

We spoke with Seamus this morning and he told us:

“I couldn’t do thon race inside a day for fuck sake. So I lodged a complaint to the European Human Rights Court in Brussels to give me an extra six days due to my short legs and general poor ability to participate in such an event. Thankfully they took my side.”
