A Newry man has expressed his ‘deep desire to join the RA’ after watching the 1996 historical biopic film Michael Collins we can reveal.
The 27 year-old who freely admits that he wouldn’t know the difference between a riffle and a fishing rod says his ‘true Irish pride’ has been freed by watching the film.
We spoke with the mad rebel and he told us:
“Don’t get me wrong now I’ve always been an Irishman but after watching thon Michael Collins film I definitely want to join the RA to continue his war against the Brits.
Now, I have only ever joined the Credit Union and the Newry Library before so I don’t k now if it’s as easy as that are not.”
