Ireland’s favourite online weatherman Kieran Meaney is to take over from Barra Best as the BBC’s weather reader we can reveal.

Meaney who started as an amateur meteorologist back in 2014 on Facebook has now become the leading weather service provider on the island of Ireland with RTÉ and BBC both using his services rather than the Met Office such is his accuracy.

Best from Clonard in West Belfast is said to be livid at the news that he will be cut from annoying every fucker around 6:50pm every Monday to Friday and is seeking legal advice.

We spoke to Kieran today and he told us:

“I think with me being quite brilliant at weather prediction it’s a natural progression, in with the new and out with the old. I will get my foot through the door and then try to take Barra’s BBC TV show ‘Barra on the Bann’ for the craic.”
