A Jonesborough woman who got to the final 5 in the BBC show ‘The Apprentice’ is to start work in Around-A-Pound we can reveal.
Grainne McCoy the make-up artist who failed to charm Lord Sugar’s aides with her business plan has failed to gain further employment after her appearance on the show and has said she is ‘blessed’ to be given the opportunity to work in the Newry shop.
Grainne spoke to Newry Spud from The 3 Steps pub where she was drinking flasks of Gin and told us:
“I’m delighted to be given the opportunity to work in Around-A-Pound. The business is massive in scale and with my experience and guidance from Alan Sugar I’d imagine I’d probably be running the whole shebang by February.”
