It’s only 2 weeks since his retirement as President of Sinn Féin but Gerry Adams has taken up a new role as ‘Sales Executive’ in McEvoy’s shop on Monaghan Street.
Adams has replaced meeting high level diplomats and politicians for old grannies looking knitting paterns and wool.
We spoke to Gerry Adams and he told us:
“A chairde, this is a new chapter in my life. I’ve always been passionate about retail, especially the small drapery and woolen sectors. I’ll offer great customer service and if anyone complains, well, they’ll be dealt with accordingly.”
