News that a new cannabis Café is to open in Newry has been met with mixed reaction. The Café will be situated on Monaghan Street and is to be called ‘Blow & Go’.
The new owner Emmet Crossan formerly of the CISTA political party has found a loophole in the current law that forbids any class C drug being sold.
Emmet spoke to us from his tree house and said:
“Yeah man, we found out that through a law going back to the 1700’s we can actually sell our medicated form of cannabis and it is like, totally legal and like, totally awesome dude.”
We went onto the streets of Newry to ask the locals what they thought of the new café.
Local man Ruairí Crossey told said:
“This is the fucking best news ever baah. Now when my woman is running around doing the shopping I can pop in to Blow & Go and get stoned off my head, it’s long overdue.”
