The number of men of all ages attending the Bessbrook Catholic church has soared in recent weeks after a new order of nuns from Italy have moved to Bessbrook we can reveal.

The Sister’s of Milan who do much pastoral work in the Lower Kileavey Parish have been a big hit with the locals.

We spoke with one Mass goer yesterday morning and he told us:

“To be honest I’m a Protestant from Newtonhamilon Ha Ha. I just came to see these nuns bah. Jaysus I’ll be coming to mass here more often. I just can’t get used to the musical chairs though. Up and down then on your knees like Yo- Yo’s.”
