ITV’s 60 Minute Makeover has revealed its toughest challenge yet this week, as they prepare to transform the entire village of Crossmaglen.
Normally accustomed to refurbishing living rooms and kitchens, the design team will attempt to give every corner of the village a ‘face lift’ within a 60-minute time-frame. Although excited about the episode, the show’s producer Simon Briggs admits it will be a challenge.
He told Newry Spud:
“When we arrived in Cross it quickly dawned on me that we were going to need more than a few frilly cushions to jazz this place up. I fear 60 minutes just isn’t going to be enough.
It’s going to take us 40 minutes alone just to clean the bogs in Ma Kearney’s, leaving us just 20 minutes. We may resort to simply draping a lovely giant shawl over the whole area”.
When asked what role Peter Andre will be playing in the epic makeover, he said:
“I’m not sure. We sent him to a place called Rathview Park to start the filming, but we haven’t heard from him since. I hope he’s okay”.
