In a move that has been described by some as a stroke of pure genius the Newry Mourne & Down District Council has come up with a novel yet effective way of keeping the residents indoors.
They have decided to employ 20 drivers that will go around every inch of the council area playing Nathan carter albums through loud speakers.
A Council spokesman told us:
“We can’t take chances with this virus and we had to make a very hard decision. We know that it could be seen by some as a cruel and rather unusual form of trying to enforce the lock down but it has worked brilliantly.
We have been blasted out Nathan’s ‘Staying up all night’ album. A particularly awful piece of music. We even have reports of some people trying to climb on to their roofs and jumping off them as the music was just too much to bear.”
