Controversy has hit the small, awkward and some would say ‘backwards’ little village of Killeavy tonight ahead of the much anticipated ‘Killeavy Fit In 40’ event we can EXCLUSIVELY reveal.
The much anticipated ‘King & Queen’ will be revealed in what locals expect to be the highlight of their usual, boring and shit kicking country existence.
The reason behind the controversy is that self proclaimed ‘Hero of Killeavy’ Steven McDonnell heard that he and his long suffering wife Lisa ‘might not win’.
A Killeavy spokeswoman told Newry Spud:
“Stevie thinks that he has to bloody win everything in the club, even down to the lotto. We told Stevie that the better couples are Petey Smith and Aine Rice and beyond that Ally & Ann Murphy deserve the title. Stevie obviously isn’t happy.”
Meanwhile it’s been reported Steven McDonnell’s wife has gathered up his toys from the pram and it is believed the 2002 All-Ireland winner will be in attendance at the Gala night.
