Officials from Ulsterbus and The Canal Court hotel are in talks with the Newry Orange Order after a bonfire was built at the Bus Station overnight.
The bonfire that was built to celebrate the 12th night of July is precariously close to the Hotel and Bus terminal.
Local Orangeman Billy Fitzwilliam-McIrvine told Newry Spud:
“We wanted to take our culture to the city centre for everyone to enjoy. We have consulted with the Northern Ireland Fire Service and they are 60% sure the Hotel and the Bus terminal will not be set alight.”
