Greta Thunberg is the young girl who is leading the call for global change from world leaders to stop using fossil fuels and become more environmentally aware.
She spoke today at the UN climate summit but news has just come out that the Swedish activist was in Barcroft to see the very ‘real and dangerous’ effects on the climate.
Ms Thunberg told us:
“I heard that there was a place in Newry called Barcroft that has mutant type people living in it. I had to come and see for myself and I was truly shocked and disturbed.
When I finally got through the smog and dirty air that looms over the place I saw shocking sights, I can only describe it as a place out of the apocalypse. This is the real effect of global warming. Barcroft is an example of what can go horribly, horribly wrong.”
