The villages of Camlough and Bessbrook as well as Newry came to an absolute standstill today as news came through that Paul ‘The Judge’ Kearns lost his Carrickcruppen Lotto book.
There was widespread hysteria as the book more affectionately known as ‘The Bible’ was not seen being thrown in front of unsuspecting victims or being shoved in people’s faces by Mr Kearns for a few hours.
After a widespread search and rescue operation carried out by volunteers from the locality the Lotto book was eventually found in The Canal Court Hotel.
A visibly relieved Judge told Newry Spud:
“Thankfully the lotto book was found in the hotel. I left it there while in getting a pint. It is the first time I have been apart from it and to say I was upset would be an understatement. I’d like to thank the community for their help in reuniting me with the book, now, get a few quid out and buy a ticket, good man.”
