The PSNI has said they were called to a private residence this morning after members of the public called them claiming ‘large explosions could be heard’ from a house in the Armagh Road area of the city we can reveal.
However it was a false alarm and the Army bomb disposal unit were not needed after it was revealed the woman who lived in the house was doing a ‘Boogie Bounce’ class from home.
A PSNI spokesman told Newry Spud:
“We received calls saying loud intermittent ‘bangs’ could be heard from the property. We were relieved to discover it was just the diddies of the woman wobbling up and down, side to side and knee to knee in some cases.”
The embarrassed woman has apologised to the public for any distress or confusion caused.
