One of Newry’s leading men who regularly seen threading the boards in amateur dramatics has sensationally landed the role of a lifetime we can reveal.
James McGinn from the Camlough Road has beat leading Hollywood men in Brad Pitt and David Spade to play the star of Netflix’s newest and weirdest documentaries ‘Tiger King’ who is more commonly known as ‘Joe Exotic’.
James took time out of rehearsals in Los Angeles to tell Newry Spud:
“I am over the moon to get this role. I’m a method actor and I have a lot in common with Joe Exotic apart from me not liking tigers, being gay or the fact I don’t carry a gun.
But the rehearsals have been really going well. I have some animal experience when I fed the cattle once on my Grandad’s farm back in 1996 so I hope that carries me through the production.”
