Crossmaglen woman Molly Quinn 79, shot and killed a black crow that was flying too close to her farm it has emerged.
The crow, one of the oldest in Ireland with a wingspan of that of an American Bald Eagle was took out by the former IRA woman in account of it scaring her livestock.
Molly spoke of the incident to Newry Spud last night:
“Well, this big black fucker was flying far too close to me pigs and sheep for my liking. I knew it had wicked intentions so I took out one of the automatic machine guns that I kept instead of decommissioning and let the big bollix have a bullet.”
Molly who was a renowned sharp shooter for the IRA said it was great to once again be shooting at things in the skies over south Armagh; her last known hit was a British Puma helicopter which she took down as it took off from Crossmaglen Army Base in 1992.
However, the NSPCA have called Mrs Quinn extremely foolish and said that this was surely the oldest living bird in Ireland giving its size and said they were considering taking legal action against Mrs Quinn.
