St Paul’s High School Introduces Medieval Jousting To PE Curriculum

A Bessbrook High School has introduced a new sport to their curriculum that has some parents slightly worried and has grabbed the attention of the school board authorities.

St Paul’s High School PE Department will start teaching the students the somewhat violent and potentially deadly sport of jousting that was quite popular in the middle ages.

Mr Rafferty the head of the PE Department told Newry Spus:

“We have always prided ourselves on widening the children’s physical educational experiences. To that end we have teamed up with Millbrook Equestrian Centre by taking their old dying horses and strapping the students onto them and giving them sharp clubs to hit each other with. I don’t see what can go wrong here at all.”

Meanwhile St Paul’s Principal Jarlath Burns told us:

“It will harden the wee shites LOL.”
