Netflix Admit Hit Show ‘Stranger Things’ Based On Life In Camlough

Netflix has admitted that their hit series ‘Stranger Things’ is based on the everyday life of Camlough residents.

The show set in rural Indiana in the 1980’s shows life through an alternate dimension known as ‘The Upside Down’.

Show creators ‘The Duffer Brothers’ told us:

“We spent a few holidays in Ireland back in the 1980’s and we went to Newry. During that visit we walked to Camlough and we literally thought we walked into another dimension.

The locals walked around like they were in a trance or in a constant state of drunkenness. They struggled to string two coherent sentences together. It was quite extraordinary.”
