A Camlough woman has won the much coveted ‘2017 World Barista Championship’ we can reveal.
Gráinne Lewis who sparked a bidding war between all of Newry’s major coffee houses for her services after her sensational performances swoop to victory at the competition in London yesterday.
We caught up with Gráinne’s proud Mom and Dad Sandra and Diarmaid who told Newry Spud:
“Clearly we are delighted and proud of Gráinne but we are also perplexed and bemused at this award. Anytime we ask her to make us a coffee in the house, a simple one teaspoon of Nescafé it comes back like a cup of fucking gravy. Maybe these fancy types have different taste buds and pallets than us.”
